Learn to Play Guitar with Miso Music

2010 Miso Music won Tech Crunch Disrupt’s People’s Choice Award, and was featured earlier this year in Billboard.com’s article, “App Developers = Tomorrow’s Rock Stars.” Now Miso Media’s award-winning Miso Music app for iPad is officially out of beta with the release of Miso Music 2.0.
The app teaches users how to play songs on the guitar, bass, banjo, and ‘ukulele using Miso Media’s patented scrolling tablature system which not only shows users strumming and fingering, but also gives real time feedback with scrolling tablature as the correct notes are played.
Think Guitar Hero with real notes, real instruments, and real learning.  Miso Music has a real instrument mode for those who already own an instrument as well as a virtual instrument mode that turns the iPad into the instrument of your choice.
Features include:
-Polyphonic pitch detection that recognizes notes played
-180 songs (and counting) ranging from pop to classical
-Distribution deals with Sony/ATV and Universal Music Publishing Group
-Dozens of virtual instruments made in partnership with Fender, CF Martin & Co., KoAloha ‘Ukulele, and Deering Banjo
-Simple and Pro instrument tuner modes
-Streamlined play screen with intuitive functionality
-Tutorials for virtual instrument and real instrument modes

Miso Music is currently available for iPad, with iPhone and Android versions in the works.  The base app is free and includes a selection of songs and virtual instruments, and is free in the Apple App Store for a limited time.  Additional songs and virtual instruments may be purchased in-app for $.99 to $1.99.
